How It Works

The iVAC Pro Tool Advantage provides two methods of detecting when dust collection is required: current sensing and external triggering.

For standard power tools, the Tool Advantage attaches to the tool's electrical cord and monitors the magnetic field produced when electrical current flows through it. When the tool is switched on and the current draw reaches the configured sensing threshold, the Tool Advantage transmits a wireless signal to the iVAC Pro system.

When the power tool is switched off, the Tool Advantage detects the loss of the magnetic field and sends the corresponding signal, allowing the iVAC Pro system to complete its programmed shut-down sequence.

For CNC machines and custom automated equipment, the external trigger input allows a compatible controller or electronic system to signal the Tool Advantage directly. The Tool Advantage then communicates wirelessly with the iVAC Pro system to activate or deactivate dust collection as required by the machine.

This allows CNC and other automated equipment to be incorporated into an iVAC Pro system without routing the machine's electrical load through the Tool Advantage.
